Chevy Avalanche

Wedged between an SUV and a truck, the Avalanche is a great choice for those who do moderate pulling or towing, but still want a comfortable cabin with ample seating. Chevrolet Avalanche is a four-door, five-passenger Sport Utility Truck. This means that its interior is the equivalent of an SUV, but instead of an enclosed cargo space, the Avalanche has a bed of small pickup. Although purists may not like picking the Avalanche bed is big enough, the Avalanche has a trick up our sleeve: a midgate folding and removable rear glass enables trade on the second line for more space in the bed.

Chevy Avalanche Features

As the Avalanche is so versatile, most consumers like it. When you add in the excellent safety features and comfortable cabin-like SUV, Avalanche may be the perfect compromise between pickups and SUVs. The Avalanche is strong but its price is higher than SUTs other, even more than some full-size pickups. Avalanche has a strong standing for SUTs, but some buyers may do better with a cheaper size pickup or SUT. Competitors of the Avalanche would be the Honda Ridgeline or any full-size truck or SUV. If you're looking to save money, Avalanche may not be the vehicle for you.

Avalanche was introduced in 2001 and renovated in 2007. In 2010, the Avalanche may be some new features. The USB port is now standard, so you can play and control music from a stereo MP3 player. A single transfer case is now standard on all-wheel drive and Avalanche 1LT package now adds dual-zone climate control, remote start, adjustable pedals and a heavy duty locking rear differential. The Six-speed automatic transmission is now standard on the Avalanche.
