Chevy HHR Review
63Chevy HHR
Is it a wagon? Is it a small SUV? Those were the questions when the Chevrolet HHR rolled onto the automotive scene. The HHR is a compact four-door car that shares its front-wheel drive and therefore much of its handling with the peppy Chevrolet Cobalt. Four trim levels are offered: LS, 1LT, 2LT and SS. A passenger version is available on all versions and the version panel van has just two seats in LS and LT. The base model LS has full power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning, keyless entry and a stereo with an auxiliary input jack as standard. The 1LT adds a power driver seat and a longer list of options. Both the LS and 1LT are powered from a 155-hp, 2.2-liter in-line four, while 1LT offers the possibility of an engine 172-hp four-cylinder 2.4 liter.

Chevy HHR Features
The 2LT covers sports the larger engine and 17-inch wheels, a firmer suspension and high-end stereo. SS Sport comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 260 horsepower engine, a sport suspension, 18-inch wheels and special interior and exterior accents. All HHRs have antilock brakes, stability control and side curtain airbags as standard. Interestingly, all versions offer almost the same characteristics as EPA fuel economy standards state, regardless of engine or transmission choice, limited to five-speed manual or four-speed automatic unit. The Chevrolet HHR is available only with front-wheel drive, while many competitors offer all-wheel drive with a strengthened capacity for bad weather. The cabin, unlike most small GM has many detailed indicators, nice graphics with updated radio, waterproof construction and major controls sensors.
With its classic cool looks and great fuel economy, the HHR will appeal to the 35 and older generation. The car's capacity is also convenient and has been a major competitor of Chrysler's PT Cruiser. The HHR is a great car for the price and will please its owner thoroughly.
