Ford F 150 Review
61For over 50 years, the trusted Ford Motor Company has been bringing you top quality full-sized pick up trucks. One Ford Favorite is the F-150. It was the best selling car in America for 23 years in a row, and the best selling truck for 31 years. It is estimated that the Ford F-series makes up for half of the company's revenue. Though the body style has changed a lot over the years, the quality has remained strong and steady.
In 1948, the first generation F-series, known as the "Ford Bonus Built" was made. The truck replaced the car-based pick up line. It had a modern look, with a flat one piece windshield and integrated headlights. This was one of the first trucks to have passenger side windshield wipers, and a windshield washer that was operated by a foot plunger.
The second generation F-150 Truck came out in 1953. It was redesigned with a up-graded look and state of the art options. Including automatic transmission, power steering and air conditioning.
The latest generation, or twelfth generation, was revealed in 2009. They began production on in October 2008 in the Kanas City Assembly Plant. The truck features a large interior, an up-graded three bar grille, and additional cab choices. It's strong, with larger towing complicity and is top safety rated (a full list of features below).
Many years have passed, but the old Ford reputation holds true. Build strong, to last long.
